Winter Coats

Oh, hello December!

Somehow, we all knew December was right around the corner and yet as soon as our calendars update the temperature took a serious cue to drop several degrees. The tinsel, sparkle and lights that indicate the colder seasons have arrived distract from the fact that things start to get seriously cold.

Proper outerwear is essential to making it through the coldest seasons. Therefore, this post is about something we can eaaasily qualify as an investment piece. Quality doesn’t typically come cheap, as there are compromises when decimals are reduced.

Just because it’s freezing doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your personal style!

A winter coat is something that you will, quite literally, be wearing day-in and day-out. It’s to throw on over jeans, slinky date dresses, suits, track pants…anything! So when it comes time to putting a large sum of dollars down, we’ve got your back with a few key tips to choosing the right coat for you.

Colour

Try and go for neutral colours, such as navy, camel, black or grey.

Length

For your coat to serve as much purpose as possible, it’s best to opt for the most length as possible. Your winter coat should at least cover your butt for optimum protection.

Fabric

Wool blends will be the warmest, and you absolutely want to make sure it’s lined.

Style / Cut

This is truly our opinion only, but the straighter the jacket, the more flexibility you will have incorporating it into your wardrobe.
