Every year I struggle to decide on what to wear Christmas morning. With all the planning that goes into the holiday, the one thing that seems to get missed is the morning-of attire.
Let’s face it. There will be evidence of what you wore, and even if you’re home with family, it’s nice to look back on the photos of previous years and think… wow, I sure looked cute!
Reality is, I do not get my day-of look right every year. Looking back, there are certainly some Christmases that I went for the “comfort over cute” outfit, and believe me, I regret each of those decisions.
Here are 5 cute, comfortable, and photogenic options to wear on the (fast approaching) day!
- Feminine Fleece
This one is more loungewear than pyjamas. The bottoms are wearable all-year-round, and the reindeer top is perfectly apropos for the day. This look is Christmassy – without adorning yourself in head-to-toe tartan.
If you’re not a fan of donning yourself in Pyjamas all day, this cozy cardigan will keep you warm, covered, and looking chic. These lounge pants are classy and buttery soft. Go all black and stand out against the red, green and gold. There will be no competing against the Christmas tree with this look.
- Full-on Flannel
Are you one to embrace the holidays in all it’s glory? Why not embrace your pyjamas too? This set screams “I Love Christmas” while simultaneously keeping it classy with the Kate Spade take on flannel.
- Casually Comfortable
If you want to keep it simple, opt for some basic joggers and a cute sweater combo. These joggers from Nordstrom can be worn all year round so you’ll feel like you’re getting mileage out of them.
I love these sweaters from Wildfox I look at them almost every year. The fabric is super soft and very light, so you won’t feel like you’re roasting on Christmas morning. They can definitely be worn outside of the house with a pair of jeans and some Stans. This look is practical – yet festive 🙂
This one may not be everyone’s jam, but it certainly suits a certain niche. Why not? If you love Christmas as much as Buddy, then embrace it with an Over-The-Top Christmas day look.
