A recent text conversation prompted this post. It went a little something like this:
Technically, you can wear sunglasses all year around, but they obviously serve their purpose best in Spring and Summer.
If you live on the WET coast, you will know the pain of not being able to wear your sunglasses in these crucial 4-6 months. You scramble for your sunglass case with even the slightest glimpse of sunlight. You carry them around with you in hopes of a sunny break in the afternoon, and with them costing upwards of $200, you want to feel like you optimize your time with them and wear them as often as possible.
With the high price tag attached to these plastic accessories, why do we feel the need to splurge? Like any other accessory, sunglasses have a unique ability to change the feel of your outfit. They can take it from chic and trendy to retro, boho, classic- you name it.
When you’re shopping for sunglasses, try not to limit your options to a shape that is flattering for your face (and while this is always a factor) as this can be limiting! Look for the glasses that make you feel great, and the ones that reflect your personal style. If you’re feeling confident and cool in your sunnies, it’s not just your face that will be flattered.
To keep yourself from going broke on sunglasses, we’ve compiled a list of our top 5 styles for this spring summer. So when that sun finally comes out, you will be guarded against the furrowed brow!
